Yoga for Every Body – This is a gentle, basic class that introduces students to yoga. Primary focus is to help students develop a sense of self-assurance, balance, and proprioception (overall sense of body position, movement, and acceleration in space).
Chakra Yoga – A series of classes to introduce students to the chakras (energy centers of the body). Each class covers a different chakra, its primary concepts and aspects of balance and imbalance. Chakra specific sequences are provided to help achieve balance. Open to any level of yoga practitioner.
Yoga Nidra (“Yogic Sleep”) – A guided meditation with gentle stretching that leads you through the various levels of your being (physical, energetic, mental, emotional, and spiritual). Students move into a relaxed state that invokes the body’s natural healing response, supporting its’ ability to fight illness and slow the aging process.
Group Therapy Support - Trauma Informed Yoga. Aimed at groups working through trauma and/or adolescent issues. These classes are performed in the group meeting facility with the counselor present, and work to provide students with tools to develop a safe dialog with their bodies.
Custom Classes – A nice addition to many occasions - I work with the host to understand the intentions and the physical capacity of the participants, and then offer a custom designed class for the group.
All classes can be taught at your location or mine – I enjoy being a “travelling yogi” and reaching wider groups who may not always take the time to trek to a studio. I provide mats and props, so no one needs to bring anything except some comfortable clothes.
