I was fortunate enough to have a singing bowl therapy session with Judy and found the result to be quite eye-opening. I am a high maintenance sleeper, and was on the edge of dozing the entire session. It felt almost as if it was an out of body experience in relaxation! Judy’s love of yoga shines through her classes. She patiently explained the poses and provides a calming spirit. She recognizes that we all have unique abilities yet I felt very comfortable sharing this space with others. It was a joy to attend her classes and I left them feeling both energized and peaceful.
Judy’s yoga classes are gentle and rejuvenating!! She gives clear instruction and where appropriate she provides variations of positions to allow students to find the right level of difficulty to suit their needs. This helps newbies to become more confident and yogis at all levels to continue developing their skills, strength and flexibility. After yoga with Judy I feel a sense of renewal in my body, spirit and mind!! She is a calming and encouraging force and being her student is a joy!!!
Judy is passionate about the healing effects of yoga and it shows in her teaching style. I had given up on yoga since I have issues with soft tissue all over my body and every pose needed to be modified to be safe. Judy is patient and listens to students. She knows that every body is unique and will push you to push yourself without endangering any joints. If you’re lucky enough to attend a session in her home, perhaps her cat will drop in to join you in stretching like she did for me!
After a considerable break from yoga, Judy’s inspired teaching techniques helped me resume my practice. She emphasized gentle, mindful sequences that restored my confidence and enhanced my flexibility. She was careful to ask students if they were experiencing particular issues that might limit our movements. After pointing out a problem with a tight IT band on one of my legs, she assured me her practice routinely offers alternative poses to try. This helped me release stress points and avoid injury. Her reassuring, joyful approach to yoga left me feeling great—fully relaxed and looking forward to future sessions. She is a gifted teacher!
